Psalms 24

The King of Glory

1A Davidic psalm.

The earth and everything in it,
the world and its inhabitants,
belong to the Lord; a
2 for He laid its foundation on the seas
and established it on the rivers. b

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place? c
4 The one who has
clean: When something is clean, it is holy or acceptable to God. When it is unclean, it is unholy (such as an unclean spirit). The term can be used in a ritual sense to apply to moral standards for living.
clean hands and a pure heart, e
who has not set his mind
Or not lifted up his soul
on what is false, g
and who has not sworn deceitfully.
5 He will receive blessing from the Lord, h
and righteousness from the God of his salvation. i
6 Such is the generation of those who seek Him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
